Holy Family School Updates
Accepting 3-year-olds into the Early Education Program
HFS has room for both 3- and 4-year-olds in their Pre-Kindergarten program this year. Children must be 3- or 4-years-old by the start of the school year to participate in this program. Children will be together but separate for certain skills that are appropriate for each age group. Our program introduces language, math, science, social skills and other age appropriate activities in a natural sequence to nourish learning one step at a time, with individual attention suited to your child’s unique needs. Each day is packed with carefully designed activities structured around the six main development areas. We will follow NYS regulations.
Google Apps for Education
HFS is in the process of registering the school for Google Apps for Education: independently customizable versions of several Google products using a domain name provided by HFS.
Box Tops and Labels for Education
The school is collecting box tops and labels for education. Please contact Mackenzie Coleman with any questions at (518) 483-4443.
Third Grade Food Drive
HFS will continue its support of the Food Pantry at Catholic Charities by collecting nonperishable food items throughout the fall months and by providing student service at the St. Vincent DePaul Store on the school campus. Drop off food items directly at the school.
HFS recently unveiled a new version of its website. HFSmalone.org is packed with information regarding the school and its community.
School Year Calendar
Apart from a few special dates, the Catholic school will follow the Malone Central School District academic year calendar. Parents should consult the Holy Family School website and handbook for the first-day information.
After school “Latchkey” program is from 2:20 – 4:15, every school day. The cost is $5/day. Please contact the school for details.
After School Enrichment Program
Stay tuned for our “After School Enrichment” program. It was a fantastic success last school year, so we are bringing it back! We will be rolling out details very soon.
